About the role

As a Level Designer, you'll be at the heart of creating immersive and visually stunning gaming environments. Your role will involve prototyping and iterating on level design concepts based on the game feedback and playtesting. You'll ensure that levels align with the game's visual style and tone while considering technical constraints like performance, memory, and system requirements. Collaborating closely with other departments, you'll ensure that levels meet the overall game objectives. You’ll need to be creative and work with other artists and designers to make their ideas come to life. And you’ll need to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques, develop new tools, and make the games even more fun to play!

About you

  • You have at least 3 years of experience with Level design and have knowledge of UE5 terrain tools: Landscape/foliage and UE5 Material systems.

  • You have experience with prototyping and iterating on level design concepts based on player feedback and playtesting.

  • You must have a strong sense of aesthetics, with the ability to align with the product´s visual style and tone.

  • You must be knowledgeable on levels of design concepts and consider technical constraints, such as performance, memory, and system requirements.

  • You must have experience working closely with other departments to ensure levels meet overall game objectives, be able to delegate tasks and provide feedback in the appropriate format

Good to have

  • You have experience with procedural techniques like PCG.

  • You have worked with 3D modeling tools to create 3D asset placeholders and be knowledgeable of lighting and post-processing setup.

  • You have experience with asset integration into the engine and are familiar with version control systems.

  • You have knowledge of levels optimization to improve performance and make an efficient usage of assets.

  • You know scripting languages/blueprints to support interactive elements and gameplay systems.
